OUR INGREDIENTS
If you're like us, you want to know what you're putting on your skin — and in the UK, that’s not just a nice idea, it’s the law. All cosmetic products must be clearly labelled so you can make safe, informed choices about what works best for you.
You might notice that ingredients don’t always look familiar — that’s because they’re listed using INCI names (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients). This is a standardised naming system used worldwide, so no matter where a product is made, the ingredient list stays consistent and transparent.
Ingredients are also listed in a specific order: the ones used in the highest amounts appear first, followed by those used in smaller quantities. This helps you quickly understand what makes up the bulk of a product.
You may also spot certain fragrance components highlighted separately — these are known allergens. UK regulations require common allergens to be listed clearly when they’re present above very small thresholds, helping people with sensitivities or allergies avoid ingredients that might cause a reaction.
Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the ingredients we use, including their INCI name, their more familiar common name, what they do in the product, and whether they are natural or synthetic — so you can get to know exactly what goes into every formula.
